We do not add anything but agave itself to our tequilas, the sweet agave fruit provides all of the flavor in our Blanco, depth is added to our aged expressions from the barrels we use.
Our estate grown agave is cultivated and cared for by experts in the highlands of Jalisco, we use as much of the agave plant as possible to increase sustainability and reduce our footprint.
Tequila Comisario is the healthiest spirit due to its roots and agave, however please drink responsibly.
All natural Tequila is a comparatively healthier option than other types of alcohol because it contains fewer calories, zero sugar, and zero carbohydrates. However, drinking any alcohol can increase the risk of developing a number of health conditions.
Though the general rule when it comes to weight loss is not to drink alcohol, when it comes to tequila, there’s an exception to the rule. The agavin sugar in the agave plant can help control blood sugar and promote weight loss. Since agavins act like dietary fibers, it helps to lower your blood sugar levels, make you feel full faster, eat less, and in turn, promote weight loss. It also stimulates the metabolism and helps to dissolve fats.
While you shouldn’t drink any spirit including tequila as part of your weight loss program, it is the best spirit if you are treating yourself to that occasional drink.
Tequila Comisario which has 100% Blue Agave on the label are Tequila Expressions made from just that, 100% Blue Weber Agave. Tequila Mixtos on the other hand, are only required to be made from 51% Blue Agave sugars, and the other 49% can be made from any other kind of sugars, usually cane or high fructose corn syrup.
